The friendship between China and Pakistan lasts forever—Sangam Club 2017 Gala

Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan organized a 'Sangam Club 2017 Gala' on Saturday, September 9th, which invited Pakistanis from all walks of life who have visited  China  on the invitation of Chinese Embassy of Pakistan in recent years. The purpose of the gala was to get these people together under one roof to share  their diverse experiences in China, exchange notes and provides suggestions for further promotion.

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Sun Weidong and his wife welcomed all the guestes from all walks of life in Pakistan with the great old chinese quotation "One branch cannot make tree and one tree cannot make a forest alone". Mr. Sun further stated that 'Sangam' is an Urdu word that literally means a 'confluence of rivers', used here as a metaphor to symbolize the friendly relationship between Pakistan and China. The Ambassador said, since the Sangam club was founded last year, more than 200 people , including teachers, students, medical staffs and journalists, has been invited to visit China by the Chinese Embassy.

 China-Pakistan friendship is a great cause which builds on the consensus of both countries and the two peoples. We enjoy all weather relationship, and all-round cooperation. Our friendship has been unshakable and time-tested. It has grown from strength to strength and is expanding by leaps and bounds. Guest at Chinese Embassy included biggest universities, institutes, colleges and schools like Confucius Institute, Pak Turk School from Quetta and Peshawar, Hazara School and College, UAF, NUML, The Roots School Islamabad and many other well known organistation who promoting Chinese Language and providing thier services for the sake of Pakistan-China Friendship.

The ceremony concluded with wonderful perfomances by Chinese and Pakistani artist. Chinese Tai Chi, Master displayed his act. Umberlla dance had perfomed by Chinese dance group.Many student from Pakistan also promote Pakistani culture by perfoming tablo. Special group of children had also invited at embassy who sang many melody songs for the guest. In the end of ceremony, Chinese ambassdor had given gifts to all guest.

We are thankful to  the respectable teachers of "Confucius Institue, Karachi University" who recommend us to attend this great gala.
